China imposes strict regulations for Online Diet Drugs trading
October 10, 2005
The State Food and Drug administration in China gave fresh
notice on October 8 to restrict internet based pharmaceutical
trading services in China. E- Commerce activities between
drug manufacturers, wholesalers or medical institutions
will be disrupted if Chinese enterprises do not have an
SFDA certificate.
This is an initiative to control illegal drug trade that’s
on the boom. Online diet drugs and aphrodisiacs are the
most popular drugs used and misused. Some sites like EBay
China show many rare wild medicinal materials such as sea
horses, placentas, spotted deer antlers and deer snails
which are banned on the normal medical products market.
Many diet pills, male impotence drugs and other medical
products are kept for sale at discount prizes.
