Schools playing important Role in Obesity fight

In Florida this week is celebrated as a National Lunch Week
to re-evaluate the educational truth of Healthy bodies produce
healthy minds.
According to the most recent report by American Obesity Association
it is found that the childhood obesity has reached at its
peak value.
The main health problems on the top are diabetes. The July
study pointed out that the death rate of diabetic residents
in Escambia and Santa Rosa countries nearly doubles the state
average.
Gibowski said “This is the first generation that may
not outlive their parents."
Gary Lincoln said” The world did not come crashing
down. They aren't going to go hungry."
Gibowski added “A revised fitness program also pumps
up energy levels. Band and chorus no longer save students
from the locker room. At least 75 percent of the 1,200 students
take P.E. every day (225 minutes a week). Exemptions come
for academic remediation only.”
Shanahan said "Any time you can get helps. Five minutes
at the beginning of class, whatever. It's the simplest thing
you can do to improve overall health."
Roger Dykes said "They're cracking down on everything.
We can't get all the good stuff anymore. But we know they're
looking out for us, for our health."
