Young adults with asthma have greater risk of becoming obese
March 01, 2006
Those young adults who suffer from asthma are at a greater
risk of becoming obese later in their life. It has been
also noticed that childhood depression may play a role in
this connection. The study which included nearly 600 men
and women found that those who had asthma symptoms at the
age of 20 were three times more likely than their non-asthmatic
peers to become obese by the age of 40.
Depression during childhood or adolescence appeared to
have a deep connection with obesity. Early depression may
somehow contribute to the development of both asthma and
excessive weight gain.
Overweight or obesity, which has become a common problem,
can be controlled upto a certain extent with the usage of
diet pills. Diet pills such as phentermine can lead to weight
loss within a limited time frame.
