Lap band surgery more effective than gastric surgery

A new surgery named Lap band surgery is very much effective than gastric bypass surgery for weight loss patients. Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center applied band surgery treatment to one of the doctors among them named Doctor Margaret Huggins instead of gastric bypass surgery.

The doctors said this surgery is cheaper, safer and less complicated than gastric bypass. According to lap banding surgeon, this surgery is done even without dividing the stomach and it is an alternative solution of gastric bypass.

Due to its faster and less invasive this surgery demands more in future, the resources said. Dr. Margaret Huggins, a lap banding patient said that “after my surgery I hope to recover within 24 hours”.

The doctors said, the main benefit of lap band surgery is to adjust a size of band in stomach without doing surgery again.
