Obesity's role in kidney failure

Obesity can pose a threat to our health in so many ways. The kidney appears to be no exception to the organs that are affected directly by excess weight and obesity. Compared with normal weight individuals, those who are overweight are nearly twice as likely to develop kidney failure, and the extremely obese are seven times more likely to suffer from the medical condition.

Previous studies have shown that the overweight and obese are at increased risk for diabetes and hypertension, which are traditional risk factors for kidney failure. The researchers also acknowledged the possibility that individuals with elevated BMIs at baseline were more likely to develop new cases of diabetes and hypertension.

The only way to deal with this problem is by overcoming obesity. Diet pills in this regard can help in initiating the weight loss process. Usage of diet pills such as phentermine can result in weight loss within a short span of time.
