Arkansas grip on Childhood obesity

Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee announced that the country has got the progress to reduce the childhood obesity. According to him now the time is to give proper and speedy thought about healthier living of Arkansas’s children.
The relevant research was being done on 99% of the state’s public schools students’ Body mass index (BMI). According to the Arkansas Act 1220 of 2003 all public students should have an annual BMI screening. The aim was in the direction of helping the local communities to encourage their physical activities.
Huckabee added that he attributed the positive results in large part to the Healthy Arkansas initiative which had been instrumental in changing the attitudes of many Arkansans when it comes to good health. The emphasis on exercising, eating right and quitting smoking is taking hold and paying off in healthy dividends.
Huckabee admired the efforts of teachers’ and parents’ effort to increase the physical activities in schools
