Home based exercise is very much effective for overweight or obese patients with advanced heart failure. Dr. Lorraine and its colleagues from University of California, Los Angeles point out that the exercise is best for long term weight loss. However this result is not proves for obese patients with advanced heart failure.
For finding out the evidence the researchers assigned 99 obese persons with advanced heart failure and made two groups for their, one for home based exercise and other for control group. The average age of participants was 53 years and mostly was male according to study.
During exercise program participants were walked for 45
minutes at a speed that raises their heart rate to 60 percent
of maximum in four times a week. After six months the weight
of the exercise group was decreased up to 14 pounds. The
decreased weight was more than a half pounds as compared
to control group.
According to report by Evangelista and its colleagues with
high level exercise, the weight was reduced up to 5 percent
and it also decreased the level of depression after six
