Types of Phentermine

Phentermine is sold under the following brand names: Adipex-P, Fastin, Ionamin, Obephen, Oby-Trim, Phentercot, Pro-Fast SA, Pro-Fast SR, Teramine, Obenix, Panshape M, Pro-Fast HS, Oby-Cap, Phentride and Zantryl.

In US Phentermine is available as Adipex-P and Ionamin. Also available is the generic version known as Phentermine HCL.

Phentermine: Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine. It stimulates the central nervous system leading to an increase in heart rate and blood pressure and decrease in appetite. Since its generic, Phentermine is typically less expensive than Adipex-P and Ionamin. Dry mouth, constipation, irritability, stomach upset and sleeplessness are the main side effects of Phentermine

Ionamin: Ionamin is set in a resin matrix compound. It allows the Phentermine to release slowly into the system and has fewer side effects. Ionamin comes in 30mg and 15mg capsules and each capsule is labeled Ionamin. Appetite suppressants like Ionamin are not a substitute for proper diet. Use it together with a diet and exercise program. Ionamin is taken one and a half hours before breakfast and it should be taken under a doctor's prescription.
